How to connect to Google AdWords – tutorial transcript
Welcome to the How to connect to Google AdWords tutorial.
This tutorial aims to give you an overview of the Google AdWords connector and to touch on some high level concepts such as how to authorize access to Google AdWords and how to define a query.
Analytics Canvas connects to many web data sources, including Google Analytics, Google Big Query, Google AdWords, Google Sheets, Bing Ads, Facebook and more.
Authorizing Access
In order to connect to Google AdWords data, you need to authorize Analytics Canvas the right to access to Google AdWords on your computer. You can authorize the access from the Accounts menu, by selecting “Authorize New Account” and then “Google AdWords”.
Note: When you authorise Analytics Canvas on your desktop, you are only granting access to your own computer- no one else gets access to your data.
Click the “Authorize” button to access AdWords reporting. Analytics Canvas will redirect you to Google’s website, where you can log in with your credentials and grant the permission to Analytics Canvas to access your Google AdWords data. If your license permits, you can authorize multiple accounts and switch between them easily. Note: You can revoke Google AdWords’ account access at any time.
